Chronos
A Game Master, someone who creates the setting of a Tabletop Role-Playing Game, often has a lot of information to keep track of, such as locations, characters, events that have happened, and events that are planned for the future. They have to be really good at collecting, organizing, and processing this information while avoiding slowing the game down, or the players will lose interest. As the game goes longer and longer, the Game Master gets exhausted. Thus, details are often discarded in order to keep the game moving, and complicated scenarios have to be abstracted or entirely precluded from the game.
Chronos will enable more details and complexity in a setting to ease the process for Game Masters by tracking, organizing, and presenting game data in a specialized and economical interface as well as offering small automation. Chronos will also offer features that are not present in those less-specialized tools, such as centralizing communication with players and automating common actions. Some of the main features provided by Chronos are: the ability to create maps, creating functions/scripts through ChronosScript, Discord bot integration, and adding custom attribute types to objects.
Chronos uses Microsoft SQL to create a database that stores the data objects created by the user. TypeScript and HTML are used for UI to provide a simple, clean visual. C# is used for the application backend since it is easy to code with and is supported on Windows. Chronos is currently only supported for Windows.
